I'm thinking there are fleas too, although the indoor cats don't have them.

Somebody on Facebook gave me a great remedy. Treat the itches with a cold compress--ice pack even. Then put rubbing alcohol on. It actually works, though repeated applications are necessary.

Another person once told me to get Fels-Naptha soap. Wash the affected area with it. It really does take the itch out, but again, repeated applications are necessary.

As to your foot potion--OMG--no need to worry about the itching because burning trumps itches.

At any rate, you poor lady.Carol Henrichshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06328038893854035269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7645454613980668198.post-91583380746828962542012-06-02T11:01:15.747-05:002012-06-02T11:01:15.747-05:00Oh gosh Gail. My suggestion is to use aloe vera 100%, it will help moisturize and stop the itching. I use it because I get this rash when I stress out and it relieves the itchiness and cools me down. I picked up a bottle of Fruit of the Earth's Aloe Vera 100% pure gel at Walmart it costs about $3.40 a 12 ounce bottle. (you can get this in most stores). When you apply it, it will be a little sticky but then it will dry and feel good.
Just a thought......Sandy Livesayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06183449816586125720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7645454613980668198.post-40924896172302314512012-05-30T10:18:24.744-05:002012-05-30T10:18:24.744-05:00Oh stars, you are a riot. Oatmeal bath, Aveno even makes a lotion with oatmeal in it (I use it on Ry), cider vinegar wash on the affected area, and if it is contact dermitytis a bendryl. It was the oil you put in the food to help their skin. I thought it was to put on the outside, I dumped the whole bottle on the dog. It was like fancy olive oil. I washed and washed the dog. She didn't itch either.
I have to take Primrose Oil for the same reason. As long as I take the capsules on the inside it helps the itching. If I miss a day, I am so miserable.
