a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Nature's Art
Sunshine
through cedars,
mushrooms
grow up, down,
and sideways,
and trees flourish
against all odds.

Mushroom Love
Inky Cap mushrooms have many varieties.
They stood out like a grizzly in snow
I wanted to get closer
I laid down on wet ground to get the perfect shot.
Hubby laughed.
Since I laid down
I caught some of these.
It's tick season....a small price to pay for good pictures.
We call these Spot Backs but they are the Lone Star female.

Crystal And Mushrooms...
Crystals and fungi
Lay on a log
First they were silent
Then came dialog
Shrooms spoke first
Offering a prophetic scene
Crystal counter-offered
With a clarifying dream
Neither vision was truthful
Both of them lied
Each could deliver a trip
But it could be the last ride
For Poetry Jam: Poetic Visions

Twelve Inches Is Too Much...
except when it's a foot! (I know, that's bad!)
Rain...the ponds are full, the creeks are flowing, the grass is even trying to grow. At least, it wasn't all at once, that's our four rain total...for the week. Water gates to clear, washes to fill, mud to sink into...fun At The Farm.
Mushrooms and toad stools come to life,
and the flowers rejoice.
The sun's light in a blue sky
reflects from fowl,
winging their way to warmer climes.

The Things I've Learned...
to view the world through the eyes of a child,
to enjoy the moment,
and how to feed a bottle baby through a crack in the door.
I have learned there is beauty,
even in destruction.
Treasured moments make memories,
and new life flourishes in bullsh**t,
and some days,
even web worms can wear diamonds.
