Two Challenges

Trying to cover two different challenges was a little difficult but lots of fun.  Fifty-words in Six Sentences using the prompt "three".   I did it!!!

Two Shoes in Texas has part of the challenge and I combined it with the Friday Flash 55 challenge.

In the beginning
A calf frolicked
And made us laugh.
Training her to milk
We didn't turn back.
Life continued
No milk came
while wondering
what was to blame.
We thought
and thought some more.
We needed something
for milk to pour.
In comes the bull
He moos lovingly
Nine months later
There were three.

Keeping Cool...Pat, Look Out!!!

The intense heat wave and dryness that has gripped many states shows very little relief in site.

Several animals have found ways to deal with the heat.  Check this out…one smart cool snake at Calamity Acres Hobby Farm.

Our snakes seem to have retreated but dogs are cooling parts any way they can.

Stay cool.

 She called me Lizzy 

While placing me in a cage

 I overheard humans talking

 About forever home

 Cuddly canines

And something about 

Saving the world 

One dog at a time. 

 I didn't know 

What that meant 

But I do now.

It took awhile

 To know I was home

 At last. 

 I’m a farm dog now.
