a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Random 5 Friday...A Day Late

One:  Spring is taking a toe hold on the farm.  Today it is sleeting and snowing.
Two:  Andrew and Hubby are in Nashville.  Andrew and his band are playing for the "powers that be" to see if they have what it takes. They are having a great time.

Three: The farm dogs are quite happy with the change in weather as are we all.
Four:  Daughter is still not walking from her car wreck but improves every day.  This has been a long haul for all...since November.  I imagine we are all equally ready for things to return to "normal".

Five:  My creativity seems to have atrophied but it will return. This week I have read "Shoot The Moon" and "77 Shadow Street", both very good and very different.

Random 5 Friday with A Rural Journal...

A Rural Journal, has many Random 5's.
Join the fun and read a few.
Random 5 Friday
1.  The snow has finally left and the cattle are enjoying warmer air. We are enjoying new babies and warmer weather.  Today a chill is in the air with a little rain mixed with sun.  We are dry despite the snow.

2.  I neglect visiting all my bloggers every day between working at our shop, playing at farming, crocheting and being hopelessly lazy.

3.  I am slowly working on my book.  Some think I may have enough talent to be published.  Many days I don't agree.

4.  I love canines.  None of you knew that, did you???

5.  The Siberian Iris is blooming.

Random 5 Friday

Random Five Friday at A Rural Journal with Nancy was just the inspiration I needed today.  I may have to call my Ramble Five!
1.  Winter still hangs on in all it's glory.  This is supposed to be part of the south but someone didn't get that message.  We had just five inches of snow this time but add sleet, rain, freezing temps and you are walking on a ice rink.

2.  I'll not tell how I can no longer break through the ice with my boots.  I will not tell that when I come to an incline I sit and slide so I won't fall.  I won't tell how cold my backside is after that slide.

3.  Schools have been closed this time for a week and more weather is coming in soon.

4.  Farmers are loosing calves to the extreme colds.  We lost our last born.  Some farmers have lost five or more.

5.  Watching the dogs slide on ice is a little funny.  I laugh but the dogs don't.
