a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

The Rainbow Bridge

was built in 1930 with five arches spanning the White River that flows beside and through Cotter, Arkansas.  An enormous spring rises from the ground past the bridge and adds its beautiful crystal clear water to White River.  A train bridge also spans the river.
It is not the largest spring in Arkansas
but Cotter was once the largest town in North Arkansas.
Cotter is called "Trout Capital of the USA" but even if you are not a fisherman the beauty will take your breath away.  It was a cloudy day but the beauty was visible near and far.
The river splits above the bridge and leaves wonderful islands to be explored and supplies many areas to fish from if you don't  have a boat.
I do get off the farm now and then.
