Give a gift from the heart!
a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Valentine Sunshine And Fudge...
Best ever Valentine's Day. Thought I would rub in the fact we have sunshine share our wonderful morning. It is 67 degrees as I write this. The temps will begin to drop this afternoon as the storm gets closer.
Today we were able to exploreforgetting all those neck deep in snow while sending wonderful spring thoughts to those in the heart of this horrible storm.
Today we were able to explore
Sunshine, rocks, trees and dogs were all part of our adventure as the soup and casserole cooked itself at home.
Visiting places I haven't seen in a long time on the back side of the farm.
Guess what I found?
Amazing beautiful rocks
steep hills I refused to ride up
I walked while Hubby drove.
Blue skies promised us spring was close.
The exploring ended as we returned to the valley with a feather, a bone and a bucket of beautiful rocks. I had not burned lunch which we enjoyed. Marcy brought us homemade fudge for our valentine.
The wind is picking up as the front is heading our way. Off to top off the water gardens and enjoy the beautiful weather before we get iced in.
Happy Valentine's Day! Stay safe and happy.

I Sit...
knowing this is Valentine's day. I drink sweet tea from my tall Santa cup and find I really don't care how the holiday goes. I've received one valentine from a very special friend, and she knows how happy I was.
I asked Andrew if he wanted to buy a bag of Hershey Kisses to hand out in school tomorrow. Hubby asked, why? So this holiday's been over looked but that's okay. I get my kisses when ever I want them and my hugs...who needs chocolate?
I DO!!!!
The road driving out yesterday was a little slick and snow fell all day. We were lucky, a lot melted but there was no school. The drive home was much whiter.
I watched it pile up at work and swept the walks three times before I just gave up and let it snow. There is ice and not sure whether there is school today or not.
Soooo, Happy Valentine's Day to all who celebrate...may you receive just what you've dreamed about...and from me, I send you stamps from the United States Postal Service.

Valentine's Day...A Story
After the holiday has passed, I thought, what is the origin of this? I suspected it was a great plan brought together by merchants to pick up the lull after Christmas.
I googled and I found! This is an amazing but rather gruesome tail of the origin of Valentine's Day.
Kinda makes you look at those flowers and candy a little differently.
