Fences, Good and Otherwise

 Fences sometimes hold things in
Sometimes they keep them out
They're known to make a stand
or just give a shout
A collection of rocks
a pile of sand
what hides beyond
where this fence stands?

Coming soon.

Fences and High Places

In blue skies a turkey buzzard glides on a beautiful fall day.
The summer grasses begin to brown as we enter fall.
Checking fences and the land we join
and many more to share our old farm fences and views.
We tour as the leaves fall from some trees
and others begin to turn.
We stop for a moment to view the Boston Mountain Range of the Ozarks from our part of the Salem Plateau.  It is a beautiful day to be alive.

Good Fences

A raccoon left his opinion in the perfect spot along this fence line.
A distant view of home, yard, and buildings from the creek.
Yep, there a fence here too that needs attention.
Lizzy is getting braver
Her wet legs prove she's getting deeper.
Fences?  Yes, that silver line at the bottom of each is a fence.

Good Fences In The Country

farms

Yep, all kinds of fences.

Frumpy Weather...

A small fence to keep you from driving in the river...
If I was determined
this fence would not stop me.
Then I wonder about the people along the road
that need a fence to tell them NOT to drive in the river.
That worries me a little.
for Good Fences.
Throwing in a little bit of everything fence.

I don't make resolutions.
I attract personal challenges.

I am grateful for many things...
I have only one ace bandage on
My pants have an elastic waist band
My rings still slip over my enlarged joints.

I have learned how to be...
a short order cook,
a nurse,
and a deceptively cheerful person.

May 2015 not top these accomplishments.
Happy New Year!
