S**t And Shinola!!!

The day started wonderfully, warnings of storms and rain.
Took hubby to doctor and, while there,
 the tornado sirens went off.
We ske-daddled to the house,
hit the basement with everyone.
This greeted us after the last downpour.
More details on this later.  Hubby's fever spiked during the night, I rushed him to the hospital.  Appendicitis...have no ideal if I spelled that right or not, still hurts no matter how it's spelled.  No surgeon on staff that was not booked, so hubby rode in ambulance to Baxter County and will have surgery at eleven today.

I had to come home, feed the bottle calf, get Andrew to his track meet (Marcy took him), Bev had stayed with him through the night.  Maybe a dozen phone calls to find someone to cover the office.  Now, off again to attend the surgery...without a drop of sleep.

If you think you are having a bad day, I might trade you!

The Power Of Want

I have wanted, needed and asked for rain.  We have been receiving it.  Today was a special day for rain.  The heavens opened up and gave me what I had asked.  I put my camera in a ziplock bag and took a walk, a long walk around the farm.
Places had water that are not meant to carry water.
The mud color is from erosion.
The high line crew has made many areas wash.
This is the creek crossing.
TP is considering whether to cross or not.
She gave me a crazy look when I waded across.
Self portrait in the woods
Beauty was every where.  I was barefooted and the grass that had crumbled two days before was now soft to my feet.
I explored a few places across the creek and headed back home.  TP had not given up.  She was still waiting for me.
My walk was over and my spirit renewed.  The sun showed its promise for tomorrow.  I am glad I asked for rain.
