Confession/Mess-Up Continued...

We lost the runt.  Granny Pruett, a midwife, always said, Nature knows.  Never lost a runt before but there was something not right about this little one, other than it's size.  Ki and her other little peppers are flourishing.
They still shine, and at eight days old,
they know how to whine.
Ki places my old house shoes with them
when she leaves the nest.
Only two have full tails,
the rest wear natural short tails.
Six boys and one girl.
Each adopter will receive a free spay/neuter certificate,
prepaid by me, through our local ICARE.
I think that'll make my mistake a little easier to accept.

I just have to say...
AREN'T THEY ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE??

Recovery

is slow.  I did not sleep the first night, I guess because I had slept so much when I came home.  The cough medicine did not seem to be working.

My voice seems to be coming back but that may be just because I am not talking like I have to at work.  I am trying to be positive and will not wait so long the next time, maybe.

The doc called this afternoon.  I am unable to take any cholesterol medicine since it causes extreme muscle pain and weakness.  I have been taking Fish Oil Omega 3 capsules and have been told to add red rice something because my levels of triglycerides is almost three times the limit and my other one is high too.

Now I must google, knowing the answer already, that my diet will be, if it tastes good, forget it.  I have also had a weight gain that cannot be explained by my sickness or thyroid.

Here's where I need your help.  I need recipes that taste better than cardboard, something that will help these numbers go down.    Any suggestions you can give to help me change these numbers would be wonderful. I really don't want to stroke out at fifty-six and not even get to try retirement.

Follow Up

Back to the doc today after my little hospital stay. I almost called him Dr Dog, because I have to use that word connection to remember his name, Dr Bernard. See how my mind works? Big Dog, Doctor Big Dog, Dr Bernard.

I really like this guy! Amazing, last week he took a culture, something my P kept saying she was not going to do, she knew what it was...I guess not! According to blood work and culture, this infection was just one step below, Sorry we can't do anything for you.

Who knew what a few gallons of antibiotics would do for me? I feel like a new women! I have energy, although I am no less lazy, but I smile and tease and am almost myself again. Wow, I was really, really sick and was just blaming it on being fifty-four!

Hubby and I thank you for all your support.

I'm not creamed but I am feeling stout.
