Me and My Feet

After my feet and I had burned a brush pile and grass burrs I'd picked, we took a Gator ride to deliver Tractor Man to his tractor in the New Ground fields.

It was warm for a run up the hill. I'm a softie so old lady Lil and Lizzy got to ride in the Gator seat with me. They'd run along with us and were so hot.  We stopped at the creek.  My shoes were quickly discarded.
We walked in together, the dogs, my feet and I.
The water was cool
It was clear when we entered.
Clear didn't last long.
The dogs made quite a splash and stirred up the mud.
The cow flies, mosquitoes and deer flies were feeding on us as we cooled.
Even though the water was low there were some good pools to chill in.
We even liked the mud.
My self portrait and the dogs were cool and happy as we reflected.

Up A Creek

With sunshine and shadows we checked out the creek.  Actually this would be called a branch.  It carries the over flow from one pond and is feed by wet weather springs along the way.  As the weather turns dry the levels lower but the beauty remains.
Junior with reflection and Ki-Anne explores the opposite bank.
I ditch the shoes to feel the power from the ground and the water.
Difficult to read JR's mind
but I know Lil is considering this log for it's possibilities of becoming her stick.
The water slows but the moss still grows
A Parchment of Leaves by Silas House says, "God's Creek was a pretty place that held noise within its closeness like a voice in a cupped hand."  I listened to the beauty in the noise and though our creek or branch has no name, it is plainly God's Creek.
The water bugs danced in celebration.

Reflections...

in water cause
me to wonder
what mark, if any,
I've made in life
that will say
"She was here".

Reflection...

Been reflecting on reflections,
What kind of image do we cast?
Nature duplicates her beauty in reflections.
Do we do the same?  I like to think my interaction with people reflects the true picture of who I am and not the image you would see in a Fun House mirror.

I could reflect on affect and effect effectively but instead I'll share some beautiful reflections.
Have a wonderful day.
