a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

The Past Few Days

I've picked water cress from the spring branch to add to salad.
I've burned a few limbs.
We have planted broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage (two kinds), brussel Sprouts, radishes, lettuce and turnips.  We've  also sewn bare spots here and there with turnips for three reasons:  We will eat them, the deer will eat them and they will prevent erosion.
I've enjoyed clear waters
and beautiful flowers with soft rain.
We are blessed.

Outdoor Time

Rain has made the water cloudy
The water cress thinks it's spring
Most of the leafs have fallen
The water garden wears its winter coat.
There's work to do but
Mother Nature and the valley's ancient inhabitants called me.
I listened.

A Post Of Hope

A small chunk of ice remains.

Mere inches away is the new spring growth of water cress.

Spring is near!

Praise God!
