a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Topping Off...

the water garden, removing some leaves and playing with rocks and a camera, that's what I did.
The Koi thought they were up town with the extra fresh water flowing in addition to the water fall. They swam and played like Spring's calves.
Even after the water hose left they played Ring Around The Rosy, uh, Rocks.  I think this tractor tire has had a good life.
Krazy Koi!

The Rocks' New Home

The water fall
is falling over new rocks
The fall now runs through a new holey rock
The river stones redirect the falls
and my collection grows.

Ever Changing Water Garden

It began with this stone
which gave me an idea
then sweet Hubby brought me another.
I dug, planned and gathered rocks.
This is first stone at the bottom
second at top
and here comes the third and biggest
It makes a great place to sit
and will make a wonderful water fall
if I decide to expand.
Almost there..wild fern, reeds and moss are planted.
Fish were added
and the frogs are making themselves at home.
Still have some tweaking and improving.
I imagine it will always be a work in progress.

Through Marcy's Eyes...

You may remember Marcy's camera died.
Our gift to her is a new camera for her birthday.
Marcy is my oldest sister
and delights us with her photos.
The mineral block on a rock drill core.
Spring is coming.
Marcy sees things I may never notice.
Her perceptions are fascinating
Her subjects are extraordinary.
Thank you, Marcy, for fixing my lunch,
for canning the produce,
for loving us all,
and for the great pictures.
Happy Birthday, Marcy!
