We Won...Again!

Salem Greyhounds versus Melbourne Bearkatz or Mighty Mites. Melbourne 22-Salem 16. This was a booger of a game. The Fifth graders had tied 0-0. The Fourth won...missed the third. It was a good day for Melbourne despite the rain.
I want to talk to the person or persons who voted in white as the color four years ago when we started football!
This team had black pants. Last week's team had blue...and what do we have in a muddy field? WHITE! We started white but that did not last long. Oh, we switch out the jerseys from red to white but today, the rain came twice during the game day plus all week rain, we wore white.

Do you know how much my washer is going to be running?

Arkansas Razorbacks

Why in the world would they name a hog a razorback?

Mom and Dad made many friends through the years of traveling on construction. There was one family that was a favorite of mine. The woman, when she knew I was coming to visit, would always bake a pumpkin pie. The man would let me PLAY with his old fashioned push mower, the kind that runs on man power.
One visit, he was showing Dad his fattening hog, man, it was huge or so it appeared to me as a four year old. At this time, I always wore dresses Mom made out of flour or feed sacks and Mom made a big bow to tie in the back. I am not rambling, I am setting the scene here. Just remember I have a dress on.
The man asked me, do you want to ride the hog? I guess I answered yes, 'cause he sat me on the back of that honking big fat hog and left me there. The hair of the hog was so coarse that it felt like it was cutting my legs. I remember thinking, this must be why they call them razorbacks.

Random Thoughts

Sometimes life is just a balancing act and you have to center yourself or you fall.

Some days are so foggy you cannot see the direction to take or know what the right choice is.

There is always color somewhere, if we just keep looking, we will see it.
Remember, even when we cannot see the sun, it is still there and will show itself soon.
