a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

This N That

Not sure if this can be read but Andrew is doing the musical pre-show for the ICARE fund raiser.  Just for your viewing pleasure I have enlarged it so you may read that below.  Not one bit proud of this self-taught guitar-playing grandson am I?  It's blurry but the bottom name is his.

The itching has finally ended I am glad to tell you.  I have NEVER itched like that in my life.  I tried to blame every varmit I could think of but shoulda blamed myself.  With all the things I  used on my body, it's a wonder there was not some giant chemical explosion.  I even thought about horse wormer...Ivermetin...killing my pests from the inside out.  Turns out the only pest was me.  Allegra cured it all.  I treated myself for lice, looked for fleas, ticks, chiggers...could find nothing except a stressed out ole lady who needed some Allegra.  Who would've thought stress could trigger that???

Me, stressed????  Never!

Wishing you an itch-free music filled weekend.

Thursday's Things In A Row

Follow the leader
the chicks do play
learning from Mom
in every way.
Future buds line up to bloom
Will the size of these flowers leave any room?
Rows of hay or feeding grain?
The grass won't grow if we get no rain.

Others can play.
What are your rows today?

Cock-A-Doodle-Do...

Good morning to you!
If you don't want to go out,
We have windows with views.
Seven young bucks,
the biggest on the other side of the truck
They strolled and grazed,
headed for the orchard.

Farm dogs are fired!
Sleeping on duty.
They were tired from the 'possum hunt.
One last night and one this morning.
'Possums zero-farm dogs two.
Guess we'll keep the dogs.

Things Growin' At The Farm...

Peaches ripen
Early Girl tastes great.
Loving Hubby's fancy tomato cage.
Pollinators make it all happen.

What are you growing this year?

Forgot to mention,
I'm also cultivating my newest batch of dust bunnies.

Remembering...

the ups and downs of a life time.

We looked back yesterday and remembered, the good and the bad.  Hubby woke me a minute after midnight to wish me happy anniversary.  It's always been a game with us to say it first.  I gifted him yesterday's post.

We didn't do anything special.  We were just together.

Our union has produced two wonderful daughters and three grandsons, all of whom we are very proud.

Our joining has also produced much laughter, a few tears, great fun and a long life together.  Some days it was touch and go but so goes life.  We were both too stubborn to give up and loved one another too much to stop.

...and on we go.
