Bumming With Bonnie...

Bonnie is a busy girl.

She loves potting my plants for me.

Brings them right to the back door.

She observes the cats

and has made a new best friend.

Bonnie is very curious.

She brings us gifts of turtles,

water lily pots,

and large logs

all arranged nicely by the back door.

She plays well with others.

Bonnie never passes a water hole

without enjoying the beauty of it.

Bonnie will be six months old soon.

I fear we have much growing to do.

I understand

To paint after
Work was done.
I know
The Insanity
That
Came
With your setting sun.



To paint until
There is nothing
More
Then quietly
Gracefully
Leaving pieces
Behind
You exit to
No More.

Paint on, you miscreants!
Paint on
Until there's
Nothing left but
White Coats
Knocking
On
Your

The skull asked

As the lady turned

How came you here?

I will not be spurned 

It's rude to peer

Up a lady's dress

Unless you ask

You meatless mess

The eyeless skull exclaimed

I did not would not look

Without

Being ashamed

The pastel paint

Blushed

And apologized 

then she hushed

Why are we here?

I am dead

You glow with beauty

Where's the common thread?

The owner of here 

Without consent

Placed beauty by a skull

Contradiction to the extreme extent

Enjoy our time

We'll never know

What pieces she keeps

Or what she will throw

Quilts and Guilt

Chains
Of obligation
Link by link
Grow heavier
Until you sink.
Not who I thought
I would be
Hidden
Covered by life
And other's wishes
Gathering Dreams
I wrap them around me
Like Grandma's quilt
To be warm again.
