My Favorite Santa

is a wooden man about twenty inches tall and of undetermined age.
His joints are more far easier to move than mine.
Santa was a gift from my sister, Beverly, years ago
She doesn't know how old he is.
Doesn't matter, I'm keeping him.
He stays out all year for my pleasure.

Merry Christmas!

A New Old Horse...

now sits on the fireplace mantle.
Gifted to me by Jake's other grandma,
 Anna, my friend.
The tail is real horse hair, the horse is wooden.
I love it...Thank you, Anna.

For Her Birthday, Bev Got A Dollie...

Not the kind with arms and legs,
This one has wheels.
She is thrilled.
Beverly is the one who plants, waters and weeds the garden.
She is the one getting us all organized
and preparing the shop to open.
She is the one who works,
tirelessly,
endlessly,
lovingly,
for us all.
Happy, happy birthday, Beverly.
Thanks for all you do...
now you can do more!
