Kinked Hose and Hand Fed Man...

This is where our day should have been spent instead of listening to people gab loudly in a quiet zone, watching nurses walk by pushing covered bodies with funny hats, and waiting for the waiting to be over.

They plumbed and found a kink in hubby's vein and unkinked it with a stint and all was well.  Over quickly and back in recovery before I went crazier than I am.  I am not a good waiter...for anything.  I'm a do it now and let's get it over.  However, since I was not a surgeon or a nurse or an admitter, I was left with the waiting.

Having had happy juice pumped into his veins awhile, hubby mumbled a little, drank a Dr Pepper, talked but did not remember much until lunch. I ran to Walmart to get some for him because the kitchen did not have them (remind me to be in a hospital that has DPs).  When I showed back up, he thought I had gone home.

There his lunch sat twelve feet away for a man who cannot sit up yet...I rolled it over and fed him like a little boy.  He cleaned his plate except for the green beans so he was allowed dessert...angel food cake.  He should be home tomorrow if the nurses have no reason to press charges by morning.

The lake was beautiful as I passed by on my way home to boys and a messy house and still with a toothache...but hubby's plumbing has been inspected, repaired and approved so all is good.
Thank you for your prayers.

They Called For Rain

but the rain did not come until much later.  The wind was strong and made driving more of a chore than a pleasure.
The return trip was bitter sweet.
Dalton will not be able to visit again until summer.  We stopped to overlook Cotter and see the train bridge.
We viewed Norfork Lake.

We met Dalton's parents halfway, to ease the driving for both of us.  We did not want Dalton to go but such is life, the good with the bad, and we move on to count the days 'til summer and Dalton can be with us again.

Heart Day

It was hubby's day to check to see if he had a heart. I thought, okay, pretty country around Mountain Home, so I'll take my camera.

We began the trip early because hubby knew every slow poke in the world would be in front of him on the way there and he would be late. Gosh, let's try a little positive thinking here!

Speeding along at seventy on the crooked roads is not good for picture taking. Hubby says, honey I'll slow down if you want to take pictures so he slows to fifty-five in a forty-five zone. We approach the dam on Norfork Lake. What a great opportunity to take a picture...not!

There are warning signs, stop ahead, men at work...he flies over the dam. I say, you ran that stop light, he said what stop light. I said the one they sat up because they are working on the dam.

Can you see this stop light?

Flying low, I tried to capture the water.

Here's proof I am telling the truth.

I resort to taking pictures out the back window as we fly by.

PS. The doc says he still has a heart, but I'm giving him his head on a platter.
