In My Sisters' Garden

Peppers and egg plant,
sunflower,
watermelon,
pumpkin,
chives,
okra,
and marigolds.
The end of season is near,
for the garden
and for the butterfly.

Remnants and Beginnings

Edible soy beans
The garden is on its last legs,
and Beverly is putting in a late fall garden.
We have a few beans.
and okra is still growing.
We are blessed with peppers.
The hens are still laying
and Marcy is working the bony peaches.

A Gardner's Poem...

And so could you
But the spiderweb was something
She could never do.
Created at night
Bejeweled with dew
The Spider had the art
no gardener knew!
