The Recent Unpleasantness...One of Three

was how the citizens of Savannah, Georgia referred to the War Between The States.  I admire the understatement of this, a true southern tradition.

Today in Lunenburg, Arkansas, where my father was born and attended early school, the war of brothers was reenacted.

Both sides were represented equally and although this was considered only a skirmish, it is part of the history of Izard County.

The Colors were flown proudly

as the battle was fought again
