Along the edge of the Top Pond the dragonfly gave me time to run back to the Gator for the camera. It flew just as I began to focus on the Button Willow along the water's edge where it rested.
I thought, One I will delete. Oh, the surprise I found when I looked at this picture. The distortion in the upper right is the dragonfly and makes it a true keeper. There is sometimes art in your mistakes.

If only my mistakes were as good, Gail. Now what is a Button Willow?????...:)JP
It turned out really cool. Looks like a fairy rather than a dragonfly.
That is so true! I love the picture! Oh, and those Spanish Needles in your last post. I have experienced those hateful things too. The pictures made me laugh though. Looks just like my socks have looked before.
you are right, a beautiful KEEPER... I love it when things like this happen. I can tell he was 'getting it' and the bud is so pretty
So true . . .
A keeper photo moment indeed . . .
Hum, might be an alien! But even if it's not, it's a good interesting photo. ;-)
I like this mistake. You couldn't have planned a flying shot and it turned out so well.
This is amazing, Gail. Great capture. I love the pictures that really captures nature doing what it is made to do. You often capture those moments. Thanks for sharing them. Hugs.
Never experienced a spanish needle. I dont think we have them round here. This photo is really beautiful. Truly nice capture. Have a wonderful day and thanks for sharing. Hugz to M
gorgeous, art is what happens when you're looking to create it sometimes
Oh my goodness, this is awesome! Maybe even better than a proper image. It looks like brilliant science fiction, or a group of fairies. How amazing that happenstance created this beautiful picture, filled with wonder.
Beautiful!
Definitely a keeper. WOW. Hug B
What a stunning effect!

Magical.
I absolutely love this, captured with wings in motion... magical!
It is almost a bit spooky looking. Don't ya love it when the camera catches something the eye missed.
i like it. it is special.
you said it all, that there is sometimes great art in what is deemed a failure.
An amazing picture of dragon(fly) wings, Gail! ^_^
Blessings to you all. ♥
Love the overlap effect.
