Kubota To The Rescue!

I've learned through trial and error, work goes far better if you have the proper tools.  Most of the time we don't have the perfect tool for the job and we improvise.
Kubota is perfect for cleaning gutters.
and for lifting heavy loads while repairing roofs.
Andrew is the Kubota prince I guess.
Cleaning gutters can bring surprises to those doing ground work.
Zander, my grass clipper, got a refreshing surprise.
The Kubota King can fell dead trees with a smile and the bucket
and level ground with two wheels in the air.
What would we do without Kubota?
or the King?
Good all around tools...the guys and the tractor.

My Heroes!

The pecans trees Mom and Dad planted when they first married took quite a hit from the ice. Limbs are dangling by bark and others by wood. If they fell, they could easily kill someone. Today was a little warmer so Kubota King and Assistant Andrew went to work while I manned the camera and one end of the chain.
The only way this could be done was by standing on the tip top of the bucket, wrapping a logging chain around the limb and then hope the tractor can pull it out without any major damage to kith or kin.
Andrew was a wonderful bucket operator. We, uh, they got several limbs down and to the burn pile. See why they are my heroes?

Down comes the big one! The Kubota was standing on its hind wheels but Kubota King won the tug of war as the tree limb split and fell...on nothing, Thank God!

The Fire King and Queen Hit Again

How do they get this all done while I am hiding at work?? Bev worked all day outside and as soon as Den got in he jumped on the Kubota and went to work too. Notice the disc on the back of the tractor. One garden spot is done and ready for potatoes. The other main garden is still a little too wet.
Beverly was having a small controlled burn

Just a few branches from the yard, not even the tip of the iceberg

Kubota King pushing the logs on

Today is Marcy's birthday. Andrew is hiding. Marcy is the one who takes the great pictures, packs my lunch, cares for my youngest grandson, grows the garden, cans the food...Marcy is the matriarch of the farm.
