Monday Morning's Commute...

Armed with vital supplies, Dr Pepper and a good book,
just in case no one came out, we began our commute.
My car stayed home.
I was not allowed that priviledge.
The mail must go through.
The weather conditions do not matter.
Nor does it matter, the danger the employees must face.
I was lucky.
I was transported in a 4x4 by dear hubby.
His dream has always been to be a go getter.
Now he can take his wife to work and go get her.

My Car Is Freed!

A sliver of sunrise holds promise
of sun or more snow?
The highways are clear.
School buses are snow routes only.
Why does she need gas?
Been in the driveway all week.
The roads were graded today.
Now there is mud
but there is still snow in them thar hills!
Home again!

Let It Snow!

Ice coated wire against the sky by Marcy
A Sunday morning walk with dogs...
Silly me, two pairs of socks, leg warmers, some wonderful warm mittens and clothes in layers did not keep out the cold.  The sun deceived me.  The crystals of ice reflected the sun.  Did I tell you, it was cold?
Too much snow for me!
How deep in your snow?
Ours is dog deep!

HOLY SNOW STORM, BATMAN!

Going to work this morning
Letting Yoda out to potty
It snowed all day.
It is still snowing.
Looks like a buffler...uh, buffalo
Still snowing.
This is Arkansas.
Last I checked this is supposed to be a southern state.

Snow!!!!!!!

Our sunrise on this eventful Sunday, tried to shine but the snow clouds would not allow it.

In Arkansas, in Izard County, the world comes to a halt when it snows.  We are not equipped to handle snow since we rarely have it.  We know this, the roads will not be clear, there will be ice under there and yet people think they can drive and continue to do so.

The police, the road crews, volunteers were out all night assisting  people out of the messes their lack of understanding placed them in.  We only had two inches and suddenly everybody has to go somewhere.  Front wheel drive does not work if you do not know how to drive!  Rear wheel even less and sometimes even the four wheel drives do not do well, because mainly it is the operator that tells the success of equipment.

I had big plans but the wise woman in me said do not drive.  So I stayed put, a wise move.  Even the roosters were smart enough to TRY and stay out of it.

Stay warm!
