Graduate and Fences

Congratulations, Andrew!

Tonight you graduate from high school and head into real life with a good heart and a strong mind. May your dreams come true and may happiness be yours always.

We are very proud of what you have accomplished.

We look forward to a few days of help fixing fences!

Here It Was and Here It Is

Was
Is
 Was
was
Finally cleared!
A few trees went missing
A farm always has a post pile.
No more fence. No more briers.
There was stock wire, chicken wire and barbed wire.  The posts have been removed to use again. The wire had been sorted for reuse and I am declaring this short ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FEET of back-breaking, hand-ripping, stinging ant, horrible heat index work done. Hopefully now most of it can be mowed.

The Rose of Sharon can see the sun.  Equally happy are the wild strawberries, Dad's Currant bushes, Day lilies. Mom's Irises and Granny's Lilac and the Bridal's Wreath.  I only disturbed two irises and they were transplanted.  We can see someone driving in!

Happy plants.  Happy me.

What A Farmer Needs...

I've been pondering this quite a bit. We need alot like extra dollars, extra hands, new equipment, new back...this list could go on. I have decided to sum up what I think are the top things a farmer needs.

Good Fence.

Good Boots.

Good Boss.

Good Back.

Good Sense of Humor.

With these top five you can get anything done!
