a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Thursday's Things In A Row...

Around the house for rows today.
Not much choice what can I say?
A trio of candles standing tall
In hand carved ashtrays against the wall
A shelf dedicated to King
Yep, I've read everything.
Rocks, fossils, petrified wood
All make the fireplace look pretty good.
My style is different.
It's true I know.
I show things I love
When I create my rows.

It's Thursday's Things In A Row Time...

Time again for me to roam
Off to the capitol but not alone.
Rows of buildings
Rows of cars
This far from home is just too far!
Rows of brick
Rows of glass
Car bridges, train bridges
Buildings in  a row.
This bad sister left Marcy at the doc's
And shopping I did go.
I was here
and here
Lowe's, Home Depot,
Micheal's and Pier One.
Didn't take long to get my looking done.

Back to the Doc
Marcy has been freed
For checkups closer to home.
Yippee!

Thursday's Things In A Row...

Today's rows are rusty
With many stories to to tell
An iron bedstead from family past
Rising and faring well.
This one will grace the plum room
Housing the casual guest
Where my father lay before
And my grandfather laid to rest.
I have some work to do
Removing two wheels
Getting it ready for the room
That was my ideal..
This rust and paint
Shall remain for all to see
Just like my wrinkles
They are memories to me.

These rows are for the challenge

You'll have fun I pledge

Time For TTIAR With Pat...

Tried to line 'em up for you, Pat
but it was just like a group photo of toddlers
they couldn't stay.

Thursday's Things In A Row...

Country rows are first
They're the best to me
Petals, stamens, pistols, foliage
The vine is one long row to see.
Core drill marks are plain to see
Drill a core, set  dynamite, blow the bluff.
Would nature be more lovely
Without this stuff?
We would have no road through solid rock
No dam for the water to block.
Sometimes "progress" is a load of crock.
The homesteads beneath the lake
Lie covered and forgotten
Immanent Domain allowed them to rape...
The Cancer center is full of rows,
Marble balls and concrete pots,
Laid brick roads. For what?
To give some peace to those who are treated?
To prepare the family for the optimism needed?
Personally I would rather see
Research dollars spent wisely.

I believe
There are more healing qualities
In Nature's beauty
Then can ever exist in this brazen absurdity.

You can tell I'm tired.
You can tell I'm disgusted.
Jumping through hoops of medical injustice.
Maybe I need you, as a bunch,
to give me a collective kick in the rump!

Hopefully when you join Pat
You'll see more enlightening rows than these.

TTIAR With Pat...

Brown fields and silent combines
Lay before the rows of clouds and trees
Drought has brought disaster
The farmers are in dire need.

Isaac has been downgraded
But still packs a punch
Hope he brings more rain
We could use a bunch.

Thursday's Things In A Row...

Rows of lights, rows of chairs
Rows of windows every where
Nothing but hospital rows today
Please think of Marcy and pray.

Join Pat and you will see
more cheerful rows than these.

Thursday's Things In A Row...

At The Farm there's no shortage to see
The animals line up for their predawn feed.
A late summer calf with four legs and a tail
Lines up with Mom to hit the trail.
In the garden the eggplants shine
This is a row that will taste mighty fine.
Join Pat and all her friends.
They have rows to show from end to end.

TTIAR With Pat...

I only have rows of logs today.
I'll try to rhyme anyway.
A pair of heads were sniffing there
Ki's nose "rows" to sniff the air.
You go that way, I'll go this
Meet at the fence rows
down by the ditch.

Grab some rows
and join the fun.
More rows at Pat's
She's THE ONE.

Thursday's Things In A Row

Row of bovines
I show today.
Freshly tagged calves
staying away
Not falling for that jive.
They'll tag your ears.
Run and hide!
Hiding between Mom and Dad
this calf is not being had.

Check in with Pat
at her Edge with A View
Join the fun
and have a ROW-day too.

Thursday's Things In A Row

My theme today is just for Pat.
She loves spiders and that is that.
So if you dislike spiders at all,
Time to run or look to the wall.
A Leopard Frog has rows of spots
And waits for spiders
Believe or not.
This gives you time to back out
SPIDERS AHEAD!
LOOK OUT!
Each has legs,
count them...eight.
Eyes are different
They can have zero to eight.
Some build webs
Some just crawl
But they eat bugs
That's the best part of all.

So rows of eight
Are my rows today
I can't wait to hear
What Pat has to say!

Where Pat is my friend
After these spiders
That may all end.

Thursday's Things In A Row...

Today I have just one thing to show
One reason is Blogger's too darn slow.

Rows of calves behind rows of barbs
Studying the rows on the culvert
Left in their yard.

Visit Pat and join the fun.
Add your rows to everyone's.

Thursday's Things In A Row

Cattails in a pond, stuff a pillow, eat the root,
make baskets from the shoots.
Cultivated clouds in the sky
 tell me, it's staying dry.
Wonder if the ant wives complain
about the dirt tracked in after a rain.

For some fun,
show your rows
Join Pat
for the show.

Thursday's Things In A Row

Follow the leader
the chicks do play
learning from Mom
in every way.
Future buds line up to bloom
Will the size of these flowers leave any room?
Rows of hay or feeding grain?
The grass won't grow if we get no rain.

Others can play.
What are your rows today?

Thursday's Things In A Row

It's Thursday and time to visit Pat
and show our rows of this and that.

Loofah Sponges are fun to use.
Did you know they grow in rows, too?
All these rows are for Pat.
She has a house.
Now she needs a cat.
Rows of whiskers
piles of hair
but with eyes like this
who would care?
A very special treat for Pat today.
A shed snake skin "shot" where it lay.
Enjoy!

Thursday's Things In A Row

Rows of buoys on a lake
rows of concrete a dam does make
a launch, a fence, and islands fair
make you wish you were there.

Check on Pat and have a look
With all these rows
she should publish a book.
