Rain!

Dramatic skies
delivered rain.
Boldly
the sky blessed the land
and the valley was renewed.

Sisters, Marbles and Clouds

Mavis and Bonnie had to get reacquainted and that always involves butt sniffing and other things dogs do.  Mavis had not visited for a while so she had to stay on lead.  She's a city dog and doesn't know about chickens and cats.  They had a good time together after they got the important stuff outta the way.
You can certainly tell they are sisters from the back side and from the front.  Good dogs!
Slowly gathering my marbles
soon
I may recover them all.
I'm still working on farm projects.  Guess that will never change but I do remind myself to look up now and then and enjoy the creation around me.

Thursday's Things In A Row

Cattails in a pond, stuff a pillow, eat the root,
make baskets from the shoots.
Cultivated clouds in the sky
 tell me, it's staying dry.
Wonder if the ant wives complain
about the dirt tracked in after a rain.

For some fun,
show your rows
Join Pat
for the show.

Today...

Kubota King is checking in for new heart plumbing.  He has had pneumonia but heart doc says, no prob!  I have written DNR on his chest in permanent marker and nothing he's tried will remove it.  Keep us in your thoughts, please.

Sunday, the only thing that saved this man from me was my walk.  Even though it was hot, it was peaceful, relaxing and allowed me to shed my murderous intentions.
These are the rocks hubby brought me for the entry, hoping to get on my good side. Notice how perfectly they fit together!  Notice, once again, the dumb damsel is wearing flip flops during forest exploration.
We did some exploring,
enjoyed the beautiful skies,
flowers,
and butterflies.

After my relaxing walk, I did help remove the permanent marker so we are good to go, today.

Sun, My Foot!

Looks like a six-sided star to me!!  I was trying to capture the amazing clouds Friday as two fronts collided above me.  The darkness met the light and they consumed each other.
It was magnificent!
That is, until I noticed the water spots on my lens.
I realized the wisdom of NOT loaning your camera
to children going to the creek.
