The Great Escape

Walking the New Ground I found a spider tunnel
bejeweled with dew.
The spider had a guest.
I watched as the grasshopper crawled toward the top
expecting the owner of the web to scramble out to catch its breakfast.
This one got away!

This N That

Piece work patching done and the ancient smokehouse will weather another winter.
Doghouses cobbled together, scraps used, ready for winter.
Dog approved.
A work bench painted in a light color so dropped parts can be seen.
Equipment winterized.
In Aesop's Fables The Ant and the Grasshopper I like to think I am the ant.

Can You See It?

I thought I was seeing things.
I thought the tree bark was moving!
My handy dandy camera was just a pocket away
Nature's solutions to survival is amazing.

Five Thousand Square Feet Of Stuff

in this building.
We did some important things today.
We caught grasshoppers,
to feed our spider.
We ate fresh cucumbers,
while keeping an eye on the customers.
We saw the moon and looked for rocks.
We cut some weeds
and sold lots of stuff.
We are happy...
amd just a little tired.
