The Sky

was beautiful as I walked.
The farm team had recovered enough to hunt.
The ground was damp enough for tracks.
The sunset peeked over the trees
as Ki-Anne asks, "What's taking you so long?"

After Armadillo Jerky...

and the response, I'm thinking, maybe, just maybe, I should tell more tales like this one!  Ki-Anne was proud of her find.  Eau de Armadillo could enable her to sneak up on any prey she wanted.  No ill effects for those who were worried.  She is a farm dog and is closer to the once wild canine.  Like people, they adjust easily, although I don't think I will be trying the armadillo treat anytime soon.  I will have to be VERY hungry before I go that far.

Monday was a beautiful day...the drive out was stunning.  The sun and the moon were showing in all their glory.  Without further adieu, I will share the photos of early Monday morning.

Muddy Valley Of Horses...

The sun's rising was magnificent Monday morning.  The air had the feel of spring.  Marcy's camera died Sunday afternoon so you shall have to endure my photography until I replace Marcy's camera.  It was really very sad, seeing her wander this morning with only a 35mm in her hand.
I have placed the horses in the old cow pasture and they are enjoying the mud and fresh running water.  Magic was the only one who did not hesitate at the water's edge.
Knot jumped the water to come visit me, but only for a moment, then he was off exploring his boundries again.
The sunrise reflected in the small spring branch as I walked in muck boots to check the horses.  Oh, the urge to stay home was great but I had no replacement.
After getting their loves from me and discovering I had no hidden treats, they turned at a run to explore another outlet.
Taking samples at every step,
they settle down to graze.
The afternoon sky welcomed me home.

He's Back!

Arrow will be three in May.
Chadir's Broken Arrow has rejoined the farm team.  Sam is very pleased with his progress.  In fact, if he is ever for sale, Sam wants first chance at this boy.
Every one had to get reaquainted.
It was a successful day!
