to late for this advice for me, i should have heard it when i was 20, and followed it... now no one sees my shadow but bob and he has his own. love the upside down grasshopper. beautiful shots.. do NOT love the spider

Wow, I am impressed! Not only do you take great insect pictures, you also capture their shadows! OH, I would be afraid to stand this close to many of them! Let's see...I recognize a grasshopper, maybe cricket, and spider. Don't now what the others are except scary!

We are so dry that only the insects are active, especially hornets. I already look forward to September. The heat is brutal.

The only shadows I'm casting today are here inside by lamplight. It's raining...and I'm loving the rain, so I'm staying inside. I have no reason to go outside. :)
