to late for this advice for me, i should have heard it when i was 20, and followed it... now no one sees my shadow but bob and he has his own. love the upside down grasshopper. beautiful shots.. do NOT love the spider
Wow, I am impressed! Not only do you take great insect pictures, you also capture their shadows! OH, I would be afraid to stand this close to many of them! Let's see...I recognize a grasshopper, maybe cricket, and spider. Don't now what the others are except scary!
The only shadows I'm casting today are here inside by lamplight. It's raining...and I'm loving the rain, so I'm staying inside. I have no reason to go outside. :)

I like how your mind "plays" . . .
Great shadow shots . . .
No matter what size.
Cool shots!
Gorgeous selection of images with great shadows.

Wow Gail, I love these bugs and creepy crawlies, especially the spider. (sorry Sandra, LOL) Thanks for sharing this philosophy.
We are so dry that only the insects are active, especially hornets. I already look forward to September. The heat is brutal.
I always hate all the critters during the warm months
Well, Kiddo...I was good until that spider showed up...:)JP
very nice.
Smart words to live by. Really nice and unique shadow shots.

Nice shots, Gail! Bugs, bugs everywhere. It's that time of year!
Sneaky, getting that spider in the last shot. All great photos, Gail. ^_^
Be safe and God bless you all.
This is a genius post. :D
I like the way you presented it and it has a profound and powerful message.
Very cool post.

Bug alert! Bug alert! I know my daughter in law would be running just at the sight of well most all of these! hehehe. Very fun captures!
Some great insect shots. That spider at the end is fascinating.
