Dragonflies' Sky

 Black Hawk helicopters?
 Huey?
Iroquois?
At least eighty feet off the ground they dived
and circled
and dined...I hope.
Dragonflies are bug eaters too.
Hope mosquitoes were on their menu this evening.

Awesome! I can see their wings just flapping! And so many!

I see them like that at different parts of the day, and quite often when mowing.
Good shots, Gail!
Hope you all have a blessed week. ♥

this reminds me of a time at the park about 6 years ago. there must have been 1000 dragon flies, swarms of them, they were so thick we could hardly see through them. these do look like hugey's to me

Great shots . They are hard to capture as they are so fast and practically transparent in colour but you did a great job . Thanks for sharing . have a god day !

They really were swarming last week. I felt like wearing a hard hat in the yard. Love the helicopter reference.

Great shots. They are wonderful bug eaters and do wonders at keeping the mosquitoes away!

I like dragonflies and these were great. We had a bout with some cicada killer wasps recently, and they made a terrible mess in our yard.
