Once when my daughter was about six, my wife took her and my son down to the creek by our house. When they got on the bank, there were thousands of monarch butterflies, like a golden carpet. When E ran down to them, they all flew up around her. I sure wish M had a camera with her when that happened.

It's nice when it works out that way. I remember waiting for days before I finally got a shot of a butterfly. I was so excited about that!
Goodness, you ran into a bunch of really neat hams that wanted to make your blog. They really did pose nicely for you.
fabulous!
Just stunning! Looks like you mesmerized them. Is that a toad?
All wonderful photos, Gail. I have never seen a blue butterfly like you captured. Just amazing.
Hope you all have a blessed weekend!
I wish I saw more butterflies. When I was young, they were everywhere. Now I rarely see them. It's sad.
:(
Seeing they're unable to take selfies, they're pleased when someone takes photos of them! :)
