a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Sometimes

we do something besides work. It was doctor day.  I enjoyed the flowers at their office.  We were in and out quickly.  Surprise.
We took a back way to a WalMart
and had an early lunch out. This unique salad bar was in a canoe!
From our table we viewed a boat dock and the great White River.
Hubby had fish.  I had mussels.
We were both pleased and full.
We crossed White River as we took Highway 9 home.
The roads were curvy.  The driver drove fast.
It felt good to see someone else's trees.

Looks like a nice day out.
Not many people can say they ate salad out of a canoe.

I hate doctor days. But if you have to go, it's good you can make a "trip" out of it and do fun things. We used to go to the book stores when we had to go to a specialist, but now we just go to the city, get the doctor stuff done, and go straight home. Don't want to run the risk of any unwanted "adventures."

In and out of the doctor quick is a rare thing these days. Looks like a lovely day. LOVE the salad bar in the canoe. I take the back roads as much as possible. So much more pleasant than the interstate.

Hope it was an uneventful Dr visit.
Jo Jo's is where my support group always meets for luncheons. Love the view.
Wiggly Rt. 9 is how I ended up in Stone County. I was in Melbourne but had to wait a day for a realtor so I thought I'd ride around. Got stuck on 9 and couldn't find a place to turn around till I crossed the White River. Meant to be I guess.

The out-of-the way places are often the best. Glad you had a good day, Gail.

Sounds fun. We have a tree-lined Highway 9 near my house, too. It leads to a cute little village near the mountains.

=)

I long for a rode trip! And camping and thank goodness we'll be doing it this weekend! Seeing other people's trees as well, and if only I could find a salad bar in a canoe! Very delightful.
