and the clouds are melting.
Even the water lily hides under its own leafs.
The native fish in my water garden may be cooking.
The statues are sweating.
I believe the bottle tree may be melting
or wilting...which would it be?
The tiny Japanese lilies still smile no matter how hot it is.
Visit the wonderful photo artist and my friend, Madsnapper,
to see how beautifully she improved my photos today.

I posted on our heat wave today too! But mine is not as creative as yours. I love seeing the different things! What a cute baby duck statue! We have lots of blue bottle trees around here, and some multi color. But I have never seen a brown one. I would like to see your whole tree!
oh no, not melting bottles and sweating statues... i just told bob when we came in side that it is like trying to breathe under a hot wet blanket....
We're hot enough to melt this week.
there's the bottle madsnapper played with. :)
Oh, let's hope this heat wave moves along soon! I find it hard to move in the hot, humid weather. I may be melting/wilting along with your clouds, plants and bottle...love those little lilies.
Beautiful images! Visitinf via MS!
This weather has been a beast hasn't it? I mean when bottles melt. Yesterday I got a break with the rain and a high temp of only 88. Goodness, sweater weather.
Sure will be glad when we can go outside comfortably again. Take care and stay cool.
You probably don't want to hear this but I would love to have heat like that, just for a little while at least...

Same here, hotter than Hades. Had to go to town, but not going out again til after dark.
Heat, heat go away ...
Love the colour of the water lily.
Take Care
All the best Jan
Sizzlin' for sure!!! I just had to pop in and tell ya what Farm Boy had the nerve to say. 'Not ready to hear anything like this yet. Ya'll know I'm a summer kinda chick.
He said...and I quote, "We could be just six weeks from a FROST!" I know, the nerve. Heeehehehee!
Your pictures are magnificent and then some.
Enjoy this beautifully blessed day we are havin' my friend. :o)
You've got it HOT . . .
WOW . . . great photos . . .
Hi Gail, you are experiencing hot weather, for sure. And here I am in the Southern Hemisphere (Southern Africa) with a rug around me, two hot-waterbottles - one on my lap and one at my back) and still feeling our -6 degrees Celcius early morning temps. Brrr. I saw Sandra's photos of the brown bottle and lilies. Blessings Jo
I don't know how hot it was here, and didn't pay any attention how hot it was in Lafayette.
But I do like your photos, Gail.
Thanks for sharing them with us. ^_^
I always wonder how fish deal with the seasons
Gail,
The heat at times is uncomfortable not just to plants, and fish. That is until the rain rolls in, and temperatures drop. The highs today 88!
It has been crazy hot here in Germany as well! I love that picture of the fish :)
I wish you a wonderful Wednesday!
Delightful post!
