Prickly Pear Apples

says Winter won't be far behind.

my mom made prickly pear jelly for many years. I don't much care for jelly but I'd love to try some prickly pear jam.

I have never seen prickly pear apples before! We have already had snow here...several times!

That's the first time I've seen prickly pear apples. They do look delicious and I bet they make great jam. Does it taste kind of sour? That would be my favorite.

Hoarfrost is another thing we don't have here. At least, I've never seen it. We do live in different worlds. XOX

I was entranced by the prickly pear cactus I'd see while visiting my grandmother. I was usually there when they flowered. I never had a chance to see the fruit. How interesting!
Hoarfrost was another thing I had never experienced until we moved west. I love the delicate beauty of the magic crystals.
