baby cows are just so very cute. when I was a youngster, I wanted to bring one home from my grandfather's ranch to live in our backyard. good thing my folks had good sense but I had already named him, Chuck. little did I know that the name was apropos.
Happy Christmas calf. Oma Linda

Merry Christmas Little Calf - wow, your herd are sure a handsome looking bunch, healthy, well fed n all. We have had ice storms past 3 days - Thousands without power, but we have power, are warm n snug and Gail, I passed your greeting on to my friend in hospital - she thought that so nice of you to send wishes. I brought my tablet down so she could read some of your posts, that she very much enjoyed. Take care you all :)

When I was a girl I used to walk in a field of cows next to where I lived. It was a field full of high grass and field buttercups and I would pull up bunches of both and feed them to the cows who despite chewing and eating non-stop never appeared to shorten the meadow. The buttercups grew nearly as high as myself and just watching the cows chewing patiently away would occupy me for a very long time. My mother must have tired with all the bunches of buttercups that I took back home. How delicious are the memories we carry.
Lovely pictures - and they have brought back some wonderful memories.
Merry Christmas!
