a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Muddy Valley Of Horses...

The sun's rising was magnificent Monday morning.  The air had the feel of spring.  Marcy's camera died Sunday afternoon so you shall have to endure my photography until I replace Marcy's camera.  It was really very sad, seeing her wander this morning with only a 35mm in her hand.
I have placed the horses in the old cow pasture and they are enjoying the mud and fresh running water.  Magic was the only one who did not hesitate at the water's edge.
Knot jumped the water to come visit me, but only for a moment, then he was off exploring his boundries again.
The sunrise reflected in the small spring branch as I walked in muck boots to check the horses.  Oh, the urge to stay home was great but I had no replacement.
After getting their loves from me and discovering I had no hidden treats, they turned at a run to explore another outlet.
Taking samples at every step,
they settle down to graze.
The afternoon sky welcomed me home.

Knee~deep, Knee~deep!!! No that is not my impression of a frog but how deep the mud is 'round here. I tell ya I have almost gone down more than on the ice!!!

You can only imagine how deep the mud is flowin' at the silage pit where we have to load the simi in and out!!!

As usual your pictures always make me swoon!!!

God bless and enjoy this beautiful weather!!!

My horses would be such happy campers if they did not have snow. I'm jealous.

Those are beautiful horses, makes me wish I still had a horse but Hubbie says that's too far for me to fall anymore. He has seen me fall off horses more than once only because the horses I used to have were not properly broke and were a bit frisky. I'll never forget the day I hopped on one of them bareback with just a bridle. I had hair curlers in my hair and that horse must have thought it would be very funny to run under some low hanging branches just to hear me scream from the pain of the curlers being pulled out of my hair.
I never did find all those curlers either. But I did get the horse stopped and got off without falling.
Have a blessed tomorrow.

Here you have the urge to stay home and I have the urge to go! Those horse are gorgeous! My fireplace mantel is an old corral post that had collapsed and bob wire was still wrapped around it. While I stood picking out which post I wanted..two of the ranches horses came up behind me and pushed their noses under my arms..mother and daughter they were. So sweet! When I look at my mantel I remember those two and wonder how they are.
Hugs!
