Tonight There Was The Moon...

and then there was our star...Andrew.
Andrew was invited to audition with a band in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.  The band decided he should play with them.  They performed three songs with Andrew as lead guitarist.  They rocked the house!!!

He played a blues number, Johnny Be Good and Back in Black.  The members were all very talented.  The lead vocalist was Melodie Clemmons but many members of the band also sang.  After Andrew's three songs, Doc, the drummer, said he had to rest.

This was Andrew's first ever experience of playing with a band. Andrew is completely self-taught and three members of the band who have music degrees are interested in helping Andrew advance in his musical talents.A magazine reporter was also there, taking pictures and talking with Andrew and the band members.  It was almost more excitement then this old grandma could handle.
Mother and son,
Long time family friends and owners of the Gibson SG,
and the whole group, pleased as punch to witness the performance.

I'm pleased as punch for Andrew and for all of you, but especially you, Gail. You, along with Andrew, deserve the recognition.

Was there a full moon last night? That would explain a lot!

GG, that made me smile soo big! Truly an exciting event, that hopefully continues. Natural talent, can't be taught, but it can be improved upon- from such mature bandsmen!
Andrew, you rock! The moonlight lent atmosphere ~
