Twelve Inches Is Too Much...

except when it's a foot! (I know, that's bad!)

Rain...the ponds are full, the creeks are flowing, the grass is even trying to grow.  At least, it wasn't all at once, that's our four rain total...for the week.  Water gates to clear, washes to fill, mud to sink into...fun At The Farm.
Mushrooms and toad stools come to life,
and the flowers rejoice.
The sun's light in a blue sky
reflects from fowl,
winging their way to warmer climes.

We haven't had a lot of rain, but we have a pecan tree with spring leaves.

You never let us down with your poetic voice and beautiful pictures. We could use some rain--we're still at a deficit. But what I'd really like is to get rid of this too-warm-for-November weather!

Beats that amount in snow. You'd be shoveling out until spring. At least that's what I told myself about our 2 inch rain total last week. Two inches of rain or 20 of snow. Hmmm. Hard to pick which is better...not!

I wish we would get a little more, our yearly total is just over 3 inches--about half of the normal amount. Yours sure makes everything look beautiful!

I really enjoy your photos! We have had so much rain here, the horses can't go out because the pastures are like swimming pools!

I guess it is feast or famine with rain, too. Such a lot in such a short time. The poor ground can't take it all in.
I hope the mud dries up quickly!

That is a bunch of rain.....I don't know what is worse trudging through mud everyday or trying to skate across the yard on the huge sheet of ice out there? Hope you aren't cold too.
