There are many trees like these in different places around the farm. These are Trail Marker trees shaped from young saplings to direct those who travel to water. Of the many I have found here they always point toward our water.
How cool is that! I am sure that your farm is infused with the spirits of those who walked there before you, and I'm sure they protect you because you take care of the creatures and the land.
Is this a natural occurrence that the trees (saplings) search for water and this part of the tree leans towards the water. Kinda like plants and sun. Really neat.

Hello, it is great to have trees pointing the way.
Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
That is incredible. The Native Americans really knew how to merge their lives with nature so everything benefited.

So someone made it grow that way?
het another thing I have not heard of. what a great idea. so you think the Indians shaped them or do the trees go towards the water all by themselves
I like to start my day off learning something new.
How totally cool!!! I never new that. So cool that you know them.
I have never heard of that but think it is a great idea. Smart folks they were.
I have never heard of this! So do they point out that the water is under them close by, or the direction to walk?

We have those all around in our forests too, and my hubby always told me they were marker trees, but I wasn't sure. Makes sense though.
Great story, Gail. I wonder if other trees shaped like that might do the same?
Hope you all have a blessed day!

I have read about these and seen them, too. It always makes me want to know the history of the area. I am glad you know some of yours there.
I can remember you talking about this before and it's fascinating.
I wish more of us could connect with Nature.
Have a good week
All the best Jan

Tells us a tale when we see those trail markers . . .
You learn something new every day!
And this is a beautiful image.
I had never heard of that practice until your post. How interesting and cool.

Incredible how the Native Americans used this method to lead them to water.
