Sometimes it's just the simple things in life that bring me pleasure. Sometimes some thing just tickles my funny bone and sets me off on an adventure...like this sign.
I laughed out loud! They spelled it wrong. This amused me enough to take a picture and to investigate. I'm half right or am I half wrong? Do you have Crape Myrtles or Crepe Myrtles?
Here is a link to an expert so you may have your own little adventure or laugh at how easily I am entertained.
Either way, laugh, enjoy, have fun...it's Thursday!

I had three of them in my yard in Texas and I never even thought of the spelling, without reading your link I would have guessed either way!
They could've listed them as crap myrtles...
i have never had to spell it, but if I had, crepe is what i would have used. i went over and read that link, and she is funny to. i noticed she switched back and forth spelling it both ways... the English language is a mystery to me.
Went to your link and I guess now I know:) I like Crap myself :) B
I needed a good laugh! Thanks.
i've always known them to be crape myrtles.
I have never heard of them . Oh they are a type of plant . Very pretty ! Have a good day !
I've seen it spelt several different ways. Isn't crape myrtle also called Lagerstroemia?
It's a beautiful plant and easy to take care of.
I've seen it both ways. All I know is that they are very pretty right now as they are all blooming.
Have a wonderful day, Gail. :-)
I would have laughed out loud too. That is so funny. Yep, every time I see someone do something like that it just tickles me and I do laugh.
So glad it is Thursday too.
According to when I cheated by looking on Google, they have spelled it right.

Well I would have gone for crepe because that's the spelling my mind has for that word... coming from a generation that used crepe paper by the yard for party décor and decorating floats! But no matter what you call them I like them! :-)
We had Crepe Myrtle trees around the house I grew up in! They were one of my favorite trees! My parents planted one when they moved here to Nevada, but it didn't survive. I haven't seen one in years!
Hahahaha! I've always seen it as Crepe. But what do I know? LOL
