Such a beautiful collection of texture and color! And yes, it is fun to think how future generations will puzzle over this mysterious rock outcropping, imagine the tales they might tell! :-)
You found wonderful rocks, Gail! One looks like petrified coral and the third one looks like some sort of quartz. :-) The second one is strange and beautiful, while the last one is wonderfully interesting. :-D

A very interesting collection of rocks there. I have found the top one on our beach, I think it is some kind of volcanic lava leftover.

Love rocks and their history. Nothing is better than Arkansas and Missouri rocks. Well, let's say...they rock.
You have such amazing things to look at where you live.
Oh if a rock could talk !
The circle of life. Awesome.
Have a terrific day. :)
What a very cool post! I love the idea of what those in the future will think, just as we do now.
some weirdo with a collection fetish. :)
Excellent photos, Gail! You do well with closeups.
Future geologist - doesn't that make you want to bury some really strange stuff in your backyard?
Ah, yes, won't the archeologists (geologists, too) wonder about the 'ancient people'?!
Great collection Gail . . . . Art, in and of itself!
There they are...I've been waiting to see what cool rocks you found!
A girl I can totally relate too. Nice collection. I would have carried them home too. B

Great looking rocks, are those ones you harvested during your vacation?
There are so much history behind each of these rocks!
These must be part of your new rock collection. These are sooooo cool Gail and what history they must hold. I love em. lol
