a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

Flying Through The Lone Star State

We were totally impressed with this rest stop.
Not sure where it was, somewhere along the panhandle.
It was full of history like a mini museum.
The decorations
and the views made me enjoy this part of Texas.
A beautiful plant I did not know
I've heard all things were bigger in Texas.
Here's a sample.
Hubby and Andrew rushing me for lift off.
Somewhere along this stretch
we became forty-one years married.
Now the question is...
How long will that last????

Happy 41 Gail n TM - The museum looks most inviting. Yep, that is what I have always understood - "it's always bigger in Texas". WOW I am looking at that small car next to the cross. I am impressed. That plant - is that one of the species of sage or "dust balls" as the cowboys used to call em? Looks interesting and I see your view through the window was as far as the eye can see. I have always wanted to go to the Grand Canyon - maybe someday? Enjoy your flying days - I am sure you will have some stories to share when you get home. Hi to everybody and bring something BIG home from Texas :)

Happy Anniversary my friend, may you have many more to come.

I love parts of Texas, and yes things are bigger and sometimes better in Texas.

Did you get to stop off at the well known restaurant in Amarillo called the Big Texan Ranch? If you eat your 72 oz steak and all the fixings within a certain amount of time, you don't have to pay for the meal.

Congrats!!! You are so funny. Yep that cross is giant. We drove by it on our way to my parents.
I am so glad you are posting pictures. Did you make it to Grand Canyon?
