I'm sure you grow tired of my vacation ranting
Probably will never travel again.
We saw oddities and made memories.
We arrived home safely.
Maybe not with a smile on our face
but with a huge sigh of relief in our heart.
An interesting photo for which
Andrew will probably never forgive me
but that's okay.
Golden treasure awaited us at home.
First cutting of hay will take us through the winter.
Hallelujah!
May all the dry places we traveled
be blessed with the rains they need.
I know no matter where I am
there will be treasures in my pockets.

That's one weary musician.
Enjoyed your travel photos.
I love your posts: light, funny, dry. Or did I just describe an interesting pino grigio?
Traveling is all well and good, but on the last 1/2 mile I always get antsy, picturing the house a heap of ashes from the fire that surely happened while we were away.
Nothing better than that exhale when you walk through your front door.
What a great adventure but there is still no place like home.
I'm glad you got to go and see the fabulous sights you saw. We need to get some hay in the barn too. But it is so HOT!
Great Final Post of the trip . . .
Andrew might not like the pic but it speaks the truth . . . "no place like home!"
Yay to the Hay!
amen to the good hay crop. wonderful! i do feel for colorado and california this year. so very brutal...
Thanks for coming over. I've lived in Arizona for about 40 years and I just love it here. There is so much diversity here. I need to get up to the Canyon again. It's been a long time. Love your blog!

Glad you got your hay in too! It is such a good feeling.
I love the travel photos but doubt I could stand that long a trip. I have the attention span of a flea!
Good news about the hay! :)
Can't get tired of all the great pictures, Gail.
Congratulations on all the hay, too. It looks amazing!
Gail, thank you for visiting my part of the world. Yes we are dry and have been in drought for about 20 years. Hopefully we will get a week of monsoon rains this year. Thanks for showing your view of this place.
Gail,
Home is always where the heart is!
I love hearing about your vacation and looking at the pictures.
That first photo is so good I felt like I was going to fall into it!
