I too believe cockroaches will outlast us. Between them, antz, n figgitty underground things, they will still be here when we are gone. Nice clear photos - great detail.
Sadly this is the case! Yikes, I hope to stay far from any of them. I'm not a big bug hater, (I've saved the life of a drowning fly in my milk) don't ask me why, but I did, but as far as these creatures go they give me the creeps!

the sun turns him red.. great shot and yes they have been and will be around for all time... we have flying ones here
Ewwww.... I could have gone all day without seeing one of these, Gail.
Great close up shots! They may indeed outlast us :)
I haven't seen one since I left Florida where they are the state insect--or it seems like it anyway.
I wouldn't doubt it!
I've lived in military housing with ship roaches big enough to stand up and fight back!!! :-/

It has been said that after the apocalypse, all that will be left is cockroaches and Keith Richards. This may be true.
Ewwww...I don't think I've ever seen one in the day-light like that. They have some Giant Cockroaches in the Seattle Zoo and they are gross.
Well they may out last but I'd prefer not to see or think about them . . .
Use for fish bait?
UGH
Yuck. So not a fan.
