i don't speak jay either but i can attest to the fact they speak LOUDLY... so does our daddy cardinal... in fact the black birds and mocking birds are loud to.... i prefer cooing of doves.. beautiful shots of the conversation what ever they were saying. i love the pop of blue in the beautiful trees
They are so beautiful! I've never seen a blue jay but these wonderful photos bring them right to my (computer) window to enjoy! You are a woman of so many talents... writing, photography, painting, repurposing, and above all - persevering! XOXO
I think they were telling each other secrets. I love Blue Jays for their ability to persevere. They are fearless in their quests. I think they are beautiful, too.

They might be saying . . .
"Here's looking atcha!"
Cute shots. Can't really tell the sex of the birds. Either it was sweet talk or perhaps Blue Jay trash talk.
These photos are exquisite! And if anyone should speak blue jay, it's you.
=)
Great shots.
You want to build the nest here?
No.
How about here?
No.
Here?
No.
(That's my interpretation anyway...)

Oh, I SO love these birds!
Aren't they pretty! Loved the 2nd shot.
Great photos, Gail! And I think Alex hit the nail on the head. ^_^
So many stories those little birds have to impart...most, if not all, are worth listening to. :)
Ooooooh the joy of no leaves!! Beautiful captures!!
They're probably talking about what a great place they've found to raise their children....and where they will build their nest :)
How cute! I wish there had been a translator around. :D
I can picture a totally different conversation between the birds, Alex!
We have mountain blue jays up in nearby mountains, and they are aggressive, big. They will attack anything. Fortunately, they stay there.
No cardinals or pretty jays here, sadly.
I wonder what they were chatting about? Nice photos!
