The garden grows.
Much like Shakespeare's play a garden can be a comedy.
The plants have survived my treatment and the seeds have grown well. A good salad Moves closer to the kitchen with lettuce, radishes and onions. The cold weather plants thrive but seem to be sitting still.
Time to plant Melons and 'Maters. Nothing tastes better than home grown.

To everything, there is a season. The waiting is always the hardest part. But, it usually pays off in dividends.
Good morning, so glad the garden is doing well. I love a good salad, YUM! Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
I think my blog should have this title
Especially with all the chemicals they use to grow bigger produce these days.
So true! I am happy about planting tomatoes especially.
melons and maters and yellow squash are my most favorite things in the garden. spring is sprung.. wooo hooo
I have noticed the broccoli and kale I put in the garden a few weeks ago are just sitting there...no growth at all.
Even my plants under the lights are moving very slowly. I may be buying my plants!
We need some warm sunshine now.
Hopefully it will stop raining long enough for us to harvest our broccoli when it is ready...
Glad to hear your garden is doing well, Gail. Didn't doubt that it would.
Have a blessed weekend. ♥
Your gardening is off to a good start this year! Nothing like enjoying fresh fruits and veggies that you have grown yourself, they just taste so much better that way! :-)

Hooray for spring and gardens and rocks and all things nature. I am hoping all my little tulips and other flowers have survived this on and off again spring weather!
Your seedlings are looking really nice, soon they'll be full grown plants for harvest.....closer to salad on the table.
Melons sound good, we aren't planting them this season. I hope you have many melons through the summer in your garden.
Know what you mean. Garden food beats the stew out of commercial attempts. I don't plant watermelons but I do plant cantaloupe which is a kind of melon and mercy are they ever sweet home grown. Got my raised beds planted and like you,I am waiting.
Nothing is better than picked straight from the vine..I am sorry I haven't been around much a lot going on in my life. Wishing you the best with the challenge.
I never saw it this way. Makes sense. Beautiful.
Sounds like you are "doing it" with those garden growing things . . .
More pics?
I love radishes. We're letting the kids plant this weekend. I tore out part of the deck as it is starting to rot and the kids said hey we'll use that space to plant vegetable gardens.
So true about homegrown food…especially the tomatoes!
=)
It is so nice when the home garden grows ... enjoy
All the best Jan
I miss my mother's garden. Back then it seemed so huge, and maybe it was, since I did most of the hoe work.
Fresh 'maters...nothing tastes like those.
Hello from A to Z, Gail. I'm planning to plant some melons too and I'm just waiting to be sure that the "frost" they mention on the seed packets has ended.
Sounds so whimsical when the plants are moving...closer to kitchen...fun!
I'm in the midst of eating a home-grown avocado at the moment. :)
