Arkansas wild flower
but I could be wrong...I'm a little Nuts.
The Spicebush Swallowtail Butterfly (tell me if I'm wrong) is already worn out. The spots are faded, almost invisible. These butterflies are much smaller this year. Scary!
A bumble bee gathers pollen.
With a shortage of pollinators this year.
we must trust Mother Nature has it all under control.

Hello, pretty wildflowers and I love the butterfly. Gorgeous photos. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
love that red starry looking flower... poor butterfly looks worn to a frazzle, maybe it tangled with a dragonfly. we saw dragonfly attack a butterfly and i hardheaded and they do kill butterfly's. love the purple flowers and hope that bee has lots of babies.. or makes babies or whatever they do
Lovely captures. My favourite butterfly is the Swallowtail. I think they look angelic or fairy-like, even the dark ones. Nice captures, my creative friend.
Others have posted that fire pink before. I really like them and would love to have some growing here.
I worry about the loss of pollinators also.
Wonderful photos, Gail. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Looks like we are in for some rain for the next few days. Be safe and God bless you all. ♥
I love the photo with the bumble bee <3
I didn't realize their spots faded.
At least you HAVE butterflies. I hardly ever see them anymore.
:(
Beautiful flowers and creatures this morning, Gail. We have rain, rain, and more rain all weekend.
Beautiful pictures, love these flowers!

Lovely way to start the week, with some of your beautiful photos! I hope you are right about Mother Nature and the bees. Humans seem bent on destroying things that in the end will destroy us too!\Josie Two Shoes

I find myself checking all the pollinators that I come across - looking for honey bees.
Gorgeous colors and a sweet bumble bee. I have some honey bees here and hope for more.
We have so many bumble bees around my pansies I couldn't sit on my porch yesterday. I'm glad to see them but I don't like being buzzed by them.

Beautiful yet sad in a way. I have honey bees and they did great over the winter and I hope they do great all summer. My garden benefits so much from them and I get delicious honey.
Real nice shots Gail. We have a great number of honey bees, that came early this year and there are very few flowers about, as they are late, so we set a home made treat for them in the garden and they were very busy with that. My tulips are still only up maybe 3 inches and I only saw my first dandelion yesterday. I am sure they will start popping out by next week. There are way more honey bees than we have ever had before, which is a promising sign. Have a wonderful day. H to M
gorgeous, my kinda' color!!!!
Be sure to stop by this week - surprise for you.
Many things are not showing up. I have several large lavender "bushes" and they are normally loaded with bees. But not this year.
I always think it great to see butterflies.
I love the colour of those blooms ...
All the best Jan
