a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

It's The Little Things

that bring the greatest pleasure
like playing in water
barefoot.
Finding a tiny snail
and a green fly on a rock, the wonder is there
if you look.
Here's a crawdad under water
and a spider surrounded by water, my personal favorite.

Mother Nature centers me and makes me grateful for all her gifts.  Town or country, there is always something to marvel about, especially with bare feet and an open heart.

That first photo has such great beauty in it. What a great photo of that big spider. We are blessed with beauty surrounding us everywhere we look. Like my Mum used to say "Take time to smell the roses" lol

An open heart and eyes wide open is the best way to look at things! Being barefoot adds to the perspective though...:)JP

I love barefoot and I love wading, but with the snake from last week, the crawdad and the spider i might not want to wade there. that spider pic is AWESOME.. really awesome... i am with you, the little things in nature are the best of all. that clear running water is in a class all by itself

Having bare feet enables us to connect with Mother Earth. That's my truth and I'm stickin' to it.
I love these photos of the water....the source. GK and I have let the hose run in one of our make believe "wild" areas of the back yard and splashed like lunatics to cool ourselves from this triple digit heat we've had. Love to be a kid at 66

Taking your shoes off is great for grounding. Glad to see it. I am afraid what I will step in here.

Gail,

Mother natures playground is where we all should play to relax and just be.
Great post my friend. I bet you were totally relaxed playing in and around the water.

Lovely simple pleasures to enjoy.
Wonder how that spider will get out of that situation?
