a tale of tails, tenacity, and tedium, as told by me, usually barefoot and bellowing

What Did Your Flip Flops Do Yesterday?

Mine rested on the creek bank as I crossed to plant seeds in the wild life garden.  I planted Kentucky Wonder beans, two kinds of pop corn, cantaloupe and a variety of other seeds.  We shall see what happens.
Rescued a catalpa tree from honey suckle and briers.
After...I think the tree may fare better now.
I enjoyed tiny wild flowers
and watched plums bloom against a beautiful sky.
My bare feet played as my eyes feasted on the new growth of spring.
My flip flops were happy.

My flip-flops are still in the closet! We have had a turn of chilly weather.

My flip flops would have been happy too!
I think your catalpa tree should be fine now after your attention to it ...
So lovely to enjoy blue skies ... today ours are quite grey, but no rain.

Happy Friday

All the best Jan

Those are truly happy flip flops. Mine are still stored; the weather is not warm enough yet for them. But I did put on my garden clogs this week to step into the garden.

Gail, sounds like a generally happy day for you and your flip flops! Spring is such a wonderful time of year, watching plants begin to open the buds. Have a special weekend, my friend.

Gail,

Flip flop adventures!!! They're much happier than mine....stuck in the closet.

How could your flip flops NOT be happy with all that beautiful glorious color they have.. and your feet were happy because you could wade.... my feet love wading to... my flip flops only come out if we go to the beach, around home we are barefoot. and since I got to the elderly mark I can't walk in flipflops in the stores, I wobble and almost fall over. does the tree you saved have big worms on it? daddy had one that I always called Catawba tree with worms, just wondering if that is what you have and if my word is deep south for it

So nice to be anticipating the greenery again. By the looks of things your plate is full. The colors of flowers are soothing to the eyes! Thanks for sharing Gail!

I don't have flip flops, I don't like the feeling between my toes, haha.
Everything is blooming, the blossom on the plum tree is beautiful!

I don't have flip flops but may have to get some. Yours seem to take you to the neatest places.

I don't remember where my flip flops are. Maybe I can dig them out next month. After I dig myself out of this 9 inches of new snow!

my flip flops went to Pilates yesterday since it was warmer and I need to be barefoot for my class...it was great to put them on. I have these really nice pink flowered ones.

ooops! I may have spammed you! Could you check, then write a note in my comment section? Either my hands or my computer are making many mistakes.

We call them "thongs" here in Aus. I don't have any.

I don't wear flip flops, but do wear sports sandals that can go up a mountain or on a hike. Mostly I wear hiking boots or sneakers. The places I go do not warrant bare feet - my feet would not be happy, but I am glad your flip flops are :) I do not know what a catalpa tree is. Does it bear fruit or blossoms of any kind? H to M lol

mine were on my feet, where they have been all winter!!!!

My flip flops sat under the heater. I don't wear mine too often.
It sure looks pretty there, though, Gail.
Hope you all have a blessed Sunday. ♥

Your shots just keep getting better and better.

=)

PS. Sure wish I could wear flip flops. I did, when I was young, but now they hurt my toes.

It sounds like your feet were the happiest, my friend. Oh, how I wish I were there to do these things with you & the pack. I love your photos and the adventures you have.
Hugs.

They were very sad, probably even crying. They got left behind again. Can't wear them to work!
