I Am The Presumptive Nominee

for chief cook and bottle washer.  It is presumed I will wash dishes, do laundry, and clean home with no assistance.
It is nice to be so important.
Not so nice that all the other candidates dropped out.

No competition there, huh? Me either. And there is so much prestige with the position.

There weren't any other candidates for mowing the lawn here.

HAHA! I can relate. But I don't mow the lawn, maintain the car, wash windows or do cat litter :)

Hello, I can relate too. Hubby does do the mowing, I think the rain washes the car, lol. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!

I hesitate to say Amen because my better half has been doing more and more of 'my' part lately.

Even using the mower!! Still not turning him loose with a string trimmer.

Oh, I know that feeling!

It is very difficult to do all the work alone. I know it. Cute dragonfly!

I sometimes offer to help my wife, but she refuses. She says I'd mess everything up, but I think it's more a matter of "turf." lol

why don't you drop out and see what happens, just lock your self away and play and read or paint and ignore it all.... or go away for a day all by yourself. if i were there we could play hookey together

The office nobody wanted

So funny. I asked my husband the other day what it was like to always open your drawers and see fresh folded underwear and socks at your disposal. But in his defense he did help me clean house on Saturday, running the sweeper and helping pick up and straighten up.

There is no glory in being nominated for that position at all! Perhaps you need to notify a few dropouts that their presence and participation in the effort is required. Maybe a duty chart like children have... and brightly colored stars or smiley stickers! :-))

No other candidates at all? None here either.

I have no one to blame but myself. I think you need an uprising.

I think Susan said it just about right. HUG B

Small consolation but I guess you could look at it as job security.

I'm the "chief everything" around here.

I keep asking Remy and Shama to give me a paw, or go out and find a job, but they just flick their tails, wriggle their whiskers and give me a couple of miaows that clearly say..."Get over yourself!"

Hmmm, I commented but it isn't there . . .
We changed up the chief cook and bottle washer a few months ago
and came up with a new plan.
I am "chief" three days a week . . . plan, choose, cook, clean . . .
And then I let go and let the other half take over for the other three.
It has been good for us.
It's a "toss up" for #seven!

Indeed, you clinched a nomination that you did not sign up for. A duty chart is not a bad idea, though I would not use stickers. That might incur some (more) ill will.

You need some support. You can only give out so much without needing to be replenished. You might seem to be Wonder Woman, but she was human. HUGS.

Haha. I remember the days when I was in your shoes. Surely not funny then.
You can do it!

...well Eddie and I do each have our strengths and weaknesses and over the years have developed quite a balanced order of events/chores/jobs etc - it works for us ...

All the best Jan
