Frosty Feathers, Frozen Fronds, Frog Eggs

Still a little frosty in the mornings,
Standing one one leg,
to warm the feet.
Signs of spring hide under ice.
The water lilies are beginning to grow.
Frog eggs working at being tadpoles.

As a kid I collected tadpoles until my mom flushed them down the toilet.

I am so jealous! No real signs of spring here yet. The sun did actually shine here today and it was not bitter cold for once. Warm enough for Danny to clean one barn out and free-cycle :-))) I knew he would buckle eventually and help me out!! He did that while I wormed goats and trimmed hooves!! So I guess it really did feel like spring!!!

My pond is still so ice covered that I won't see any frog eggs or water lilies for a good while I am afraid!! I can't wait!!!

I have NEVER seen frost on a chicken before! And why doesn't the chicken sit down so both feet would be warm? I obviously don't know fowl very well!

I love the one-legged chicken. And great eye to catch those frog eggs!
